History of Broadband
The history of broadband is the history of the Internet. It start in the 1950s as a US Defence Department project to enable university computer systems to communicate with one another for national security purposes. Then, the university computer people began using the project to communicate with other people.
By 1983, the Internet was being accessed by dial-up modems over ordinary telephone lines.
Dial up modem was painfully slow and hugely restricted people's ability to downloaded songs, video clips and movies. In addition to slow speeds, dial-up internet was also extremely inconvenient, as it took up full use of the telephone wire.
Broadband is 10 times faster than dial-up, making more applications available, such as downloading movies and music, digital photo processing, interactive games, and of course, numerous business opportunities.

ReplyDeletethe issue of broadband is indeed an issue which is interesting because many among us now are likely to use broadband .. for my broadband usage is one of the affective to enhance the use of ICT in society in Malaysia, especially .. if we look at the present time , the use of broadband is very popular not only among professionals but also those living in rural areas are also able to access broadband internet by simply using this.
